The (in)justices of smart local energy systems: A systematic review, integrated framework, and future research agenda

Smart technology alongside local energy systems are regularly considered critical for a low-carbon transition. More recently, growing body of literature has started to examine the (in)justices that exist within and impact this on all people having equal access safe, affordable, sustainable energy. To date, little research sought synthesise evidence base around whether smart an effective means promoting justice. This paper presents systematic review 105 peer-reviewed articles, with focus understanding antecedents justice in role can play mitigating these (in)justices. We propose integrated framework outlining our findings discuss implications future agenda.
